## AI summary

The Asics Magic Speed 5 is positioned as a performance- and speed-oriented running shoe. Feedback highlights a clear evolution thanks to the integration of a new, more dynamic foam that optimizes bounce with every stride. Lightweight design is also key, with an overall weight reduction. This lightweight and dynamic feel is complemented by a redesigned mesh upper that improves comfort, while the now-thinner sole offers more direct ground contact, though this may be less suited to runners looking for maximum cushioning over very long distances.

## Strengths

- **Increased lightness** — The overall weight of the shoe has been reduced to offer a more airy running sensation.
- **Dynamic foam** — The newly integrated foam provides sharper energy return and superior bounce.
- **Optimized mesh upper** — The mesh upper has been redesigned to ensure a better fit for the foot.

## Weaknesses

- **Thinner sole** — The reduced thickness of the sole may divide fans of highly cushioned profiles.
